You will now have access to our platform. Your ebook adventure is about to begin!
Solution 1: One at a time
You order each title when it is ready. Fill out the order template with metadata, cover file, and text file.
Solution 2: Batch it!
You batch upload the titles for a certain period of time. We can help you with the import from your current system. Once the cover files and text files are ready, you upload them to the platform, and the epub production can start.
Our EPUB production is based on our own software - INATOR.
INATOR will handle the first phase of the production. Then our EPUB experts will take over and do a Quality Assurance Check.
You have two options:
1. Delivery to your own cloud host, FTP server, a WeTransfer fileshare or whichever solution you prefer.
2. Direct digital distribution to all the sales and streaming channels you have access to. This solution requires a paid Nightingale license.
The ebooks will also be stored and available on your Nightingale account.
You can choose payment on a monthly or quarterly basis.
You will only pay for the EPUBs produced within the period on a single invoice, specified with ISBN numbers.

What you get and what it means.

EPUB3 is an HTML5 standard-based file format.
It is the most used and industry-recommended file format for ebooks.
A reflowable layout is exactly what it sounds like, a format where the contents of the page can “flow” in order to automatically adjust to the device's screen size. The lines of text and pagination will change in order to match the device and its orientation
"Born accessible" refers to building accessible books right from the beginning, and building the process into current ebook production workflows, instead of taking apart and updating books post-production to make them accessible
The WCAG standards have 12-13 guidelines.
The guidelines are organized under 4 principles:
perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
For each guideline, there are testable success criteria. The success criteria are at three levels: A, AA, and AAA.
Level AA is the realistic amount of accessibility standards incorporated in a standard EPUB.
We have defined our own quality assurance best practice which include
1. an automatic testing setup and QA reports run automatically on each file
2. human test-reading the epub in the most likely environments it will be read in by the users.

The pricing will be a bit higher, simply because it takes more planning to deal with occasional single ebook productions.
